Default 18" wheels for '05 XK8

All.... Is there any restriction on using 18" wheels on an '05 XK8 Carbon Fiber edition convertible? Mine has 19" wheels and I prefer more rubber on the horrible roads we have in Nor Cal.

If you have Brembos you will be restricted on the type of 18" wheel but apart from that you will not have any probs

I've got 18's. I'm sure they will be fine. Are you interested in a trade?

Yes... I'm interested in a trade of my 19's and tires for comparable 18's and tires, if I like the wheels of course.... Too many rough roads here in Nor CA.
Front tires: Yokohama S Drive 245/40R1 BL 245/40R19
Rear Tires: Yokohama Advan Sport BL 255/40R19
Purchased 7/18/09... less than 10K mi.

I'm interested in the trade as well, I have 18'' silver double fives in very nice condition with new tires I'd be willing to trade. I sent you a message same day you posted this up, not sure if you got it. Let me know if you're interested.

pomosv.... I guess I didn't get the message. Send photo of wheels to me and exact tire descriptions front and rear. You should be able to see my wheels in the post photo. Email .... ron@pctech4home.com

rwm21xk8: I P.M'd you so you have my e-mail. In my garage here on the site you will find pics. As you can see they are factory xkr Jag wheels, and newer continetial tires .
Best regards

To All..... I am interested in trading my 19" wheels for a set of 18's with corresponding good tires and wheels that I like.
Front Tires: Yokohama S Drive 245/40R19
Rear Tires: Yokohama Advan Sport BL 255/40R19
Purchased 7/18/09... less than 10K mi.
You need to know that the wheels were dented by a nasty speed bump but repaired by a well know shop in Walnut Creek and they are fine. The roads are too rough around here for 19's and people are buying 20's and 22's in town.....

I've had two wheels repaired due to pothole damage also, 19-inchers as well, and if they are repaired professionally, that should not diminish their value or be a future worry for anyone doing the trade. Looks like there are a couple interested, I hope you can work a deal and both like the other's wheels.

Looks like you have the Atlas style

cohibrandy has the Hydras,

and pomosv has already mentioned the double fives he has... look, found one on silver

just so you get them all together to consider your choices. glad to help! lol

Thanks h20boy..... an fyi for those living in the SF Bay Area.... Riteway Wheels in Walnut Creek is the "Man".... after straightening the wheels, he balanced the front tires and wheels on the car with one hand on the fender (or Wing, if you prefer!)....... amazing and perfect.
Don't know if I will be able to get a deal even though I like both types of wheels on their respective Jags.... I'm fussy about tires, and I would like near equivalent tires in the exchange. Thanks again for your support.
