I have a 1997 xk8 it will stall when it gets to operating temper when you shift in to drive and reverse Need Help Thanks

 

they can sometimesstall due to a throttle body fault , this is where i would look first.

 

Are you getting any dash indicators or warnings? Have you put a code reader on the OBD port? Engine stalling can be caused by many different problems. Too many to guess, so you need to narrow down the range by troubleshooting for some codes.

 

Mine always get the "traction control" warning on, and then stalls when swithing gears and after a little run, is that all the throttle body?

 

So did you solve the problem ??

 

Not really, it stills seems like the carbo is better (I got it cleaned out). I still think its more like a problem with the gearbox or the actual traction control tho
