Hi all - just jumping in here - my girlfriend has a 1998 XK8 that is just beautiful but my god has (had) a lot of problems for only having 74k miles. The latest has been a Gear Box issue - when we try to go in reverse it just revs and doesn't seem happy. I read somewhere that you take the battery out to try to reset and I did that for like 8hrs or so - but I think theres Another step im missing to see if this is just a simple fault or other? Im just surprised it would die out so fast. The whole tensioner issue was taken care of for big bucks several years ago - we want to get it running again - but also interested in selling - I posted on the For Sale thread here too fyi - its a California car, no rust - convertible burgundy color - really really pretty. Like a runway model with 'issues' Anyone notice this car was in that cool TV series 'Underbelly' from Australia? Was shown quite abit - looked awesome - ok thanks for any suggestions/help - ill post some pics soon
