1999 XK8 drive cycle
I can't pass smog. The computer indicates that comprehensive component , catalyst, secondary air system and oxygen sensor -NOT COMPLETE. I was told that I have to do a drive cycle. How is one done on a 1999 XK8?
Here is the 'Drive Cycles' document for an '01 S-type. I am not aware of one being available for the XK8/R but I suspect that it would be similar.

I am having the same problem in Indiana. My scanner is not showing any faults, and I had been driving for two weeks after the last repair to the evap system, and erasing the faults. I have driven a number of times on the highway, and all over town. I have had to buy a temporary plate, to complete the inspection process. Hope I don't have to do it again. I think I might try a different test center too.....Good Luck....Mike
I see my problem, or at least part of it. I keep my tank full all the time, or whenever I see that premium prices are lower. I need to get it below 25%, then 15%. My heated oxygen sensors also don't have much swing to them, even though I replaced the upper sensor on the passenger side, because it registered a fault. Hope this works. I have a lot of driving to do, just to get the tank level down....Thanks....Mike
