Not sure what happened. Jag was working well then moved shifter a little or put ain't in front tire all while in my garage then car would not start and had the following diagnostic. Transmission fault, failsafe engine mode, incorrect part fitted. It cannot hear the fuel pump and there is no radio. I charged the battery in case and I pressed the inertia switch but it did not click. Need some help please. Dan

 

There's a number of interlocks on the starting of the car. The shifter/trans has some micro switches and the brake switch as well. Do a search you'll find some thread I recently read one on where the shifter trans micro switch needed swapped out. Good luck

ps, try putting in neutral and starting
