Default 1999 XKR 4.0 - 2002 XJR Brakes

Hi
I am new to the forum, so I am just getting the hang of how to do things.
Let me know if this is the wrong place.

I have a 1999 XKR 4.0 with the standard Jag brakes, and I would like to upgrade them to the larger Brembo type.
I have been offered a set from a 2002 XJR.

I have checked and I think the part numbers for the discs are the same.

Does anyone know if these will fit, maybe with a bit of adjustment.

Thanks
Robin

I'd like to know this too, as XJR's seem much more plentiful in the junkyards.

I think that the Spindle needs to be drilled/tapped to adapt Brembo calipers. The XJ/XK spindles are completely different, so its a feat of good engineering if they share calipers/brackets.

There is great information in these threads:

brembo-conversion

The brake lines remain a bit of mystery, though. Let me know what you find out.

I'd be interested in knowing how this works out as well. Been thinking about the same upgrade.
