Default 1999 XKR Dash Bulbs

Hello, on my 1999 XKR some of the dash board illumination bulbs are not working, I have removed the dash and now know which bulbs need replacing. They are in plastic housings, do you buy the bulb in the housing or separately? Also they are coloured blue again do they come blue or do I have to colour them and if I do how do i do that? Do you know what bulbs I need and where to get them. Thank you all in advance.

The bulbs can be purchased from SNG Barratt. The colored bulb is sold as already colored. Follow the link below to their catalog page. You can also go to the main site and download a free parts catalog for your vehicle.

2 observations:
  • If the socket is in good shape (not burnt/melted), you can replace just the bulbs as they are generally available, at least the clear ones.
  • Replace everything you can reach while this is open. All these bulbs likely have the same age and whatever you leave behind will fail next week, guaranteed!
Good luck, keep us posted.

You might consider replacing as many as possible with LED's. Some cannot due to size. Just be sure to check the polarity before installing. Will save time swapping.
