Default 1999 XKR without fob, locking with key

Just narrowing down possible causes of battery current drawing when car is resting. My car didn't come with a fob so I'm wondering if the key locking is leaving systems awake. I'm assuming the car from Japan (VIN 27083) originally came with a fob, is that correct?

The car will originally have been supplied with:
2 x Master Key (black head)
1 x Valet Key (green head)
2 x Remote Fob

For the Japanese market, I think the Fob is 'low sensitivity' 315 mhz.

The key turns everything off except the alarm (blinking red dot by shifter).

you can put a amp meter in series and instantly tell as the systems shut down. It’s not an instantaneous shut down.
