Default 20" Montreals

20" Montreals
Hi all! Brand new to this today, although have been on forums before!

Just bought a 1999 XKR Cab and and separately been out and bought a set of 20" Montreals for it! (I hope I have done the right thing here!).

Just been to my local Jag dealer to ask what tyres I should fit, the rears are 10Jx20H2 E125 and the front are 9Jx20H2 ET30 (I think)?

I was under the impression they would require 285/30/20 for the rear and 255/30/20 for the front?

The dealer seemed to know nothing and said they would ask Jaguar, but thought they may not fit the car over issues with the braking system.

So can you good knowledgeable people advise?

Cheers, Buggyjon.

Welcome to the forum, the friendliest and most knowledgeable one I have ever been a member of

I have the 20" Sepangs on my car. The tyre sizes are 285x30 rear and 255x35 front.

Welcome to the forum.

Recommended tyre sizes should be in the book (if you have it) and printed on the inside of the console lid.

I'd be a little concerned about a dealer who couldn't figure out the recommended tyre size...

My 20" Montreals have 285/30/20 and 255/35/20.

(I don't recognise the coding for "10Jx20H2 E125 and 9Jx20H2 ET30", so it may mean the same thing)

That is just the wheel specification. 10" wide, 20" round, 25mm backset. The letters are a description of the shape of the flange the tire mounts to.
