Default 20" wheels and a 1.5" drop?

Can I put on 20" wheels and drop the car 1.5" on a 97' XK8?

You can certainly add 20" wheels to your car. You can also lower your car by 1.5", except that you may be scraping the front on steep driveways. As far as the fender clearance, you should be okay.

I believe I read somewhere on the forum that the earlier models with 20's ate up front wheel bearing even faster that what already was fast because the wheel bearings are smaller...just be aware.

I have 20"s on my 98' but I just don't think there would be room for a 1.5" drop, going to measure tomorrow. Anyone else have any experience with this done to an actual car?
