Cool 2000 xk8 convertible door locks cycling

Got a problem with my latest acquisition. A 2000 XK8 Convertible with very low mileage. Have seen other threads on similar problems but not exactly the same.

When locking from outside with either the fob or the key, BOTH door locks cycle locked and unlocked 4 times and then the horn sounds. The locks work perfectly from inside the car. To stop horn unlock, which leaves the car locked until unlock is pressed again. Happens every time exactly the same. Can't work it out. Both windows lower and raise as doors are opened and closed as they should. Beats me! Could one faulty door latch micro switch cause this problem with both doors maybe? Or something else. Battery is tip top and no other problems. Any ideas anyone?
