2000 XK8 problem Air Mixture Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
I posted earlier that I was having throttle body issues. Got a lot of great advice. Thanks to everyone. After cleaning the throttle body and putting in a new air filter (recently purchased the car), the car was driving great today with no issues. The racing of the engine and the clicking noise from the throttle body was resolved. We made several stops today in the Austin area and was loving the 70 degree weather. Then, we got in the car, it started but was stalling out then it would not start. Towed the car to my home and I have a 1251 Error Code - Air Mixture Solenoid Circuit Malfunction (Jaguar). I do not believe I can find the solenoid seperately and my fear is that I will have to purchase the throttle body assembly whole. Does anyone have any advice on this error code before I spend a lot of money on a throttle body.

As happens a lot on this forum, you have an incorrect code explanation. P1251 is a throttle motor relay coil code. The clicking was probably the relay coil cycling. You could have a bad relay coil power fuse bad, a relay failure, a relay coil to ECM open circuit, or an ECM ground circuit fault. Needless to say, this may be a little heavy for a DIY guy but you can give it a try.
