How good is the security system on a 2000 xk8? Is it good or should it be replaced?

It won't allow the doors to be opened.

The car will also not be drive able.

The trunk hatch is very secure. The alarm is very loud and disturbing,.Bad weather does not set off the alarm.

The door glass is thick and easy to replace if broken.

Great system.

 

It vaporizes any would be thief, and also has a force field and cloaking device. It is better than almost all aftermarket security systems, and there is no way I would ever let some high school drop out to start ripping into my wiring. The only thing it is lacking is one of those Knight Rider lights on the dash, but you can get one from Autozone, if you think you really need it
