Default 2000 xk8 Tires

I have a 2000 xk8 and am looking for new tires. I am looking at either Continental extreme contact dws06, Toyota proxe 4 or Dunlap signature tires. Has anyone used any of these tires and have likes or dislikes?

Thanks

I have the Continentals and love them, they are slightly noisy, but have excellent grip. When it snowed here last year, I was passing cars and pickups who were sliding all over the place.

Also, these tires also tend to get flat spots easily, but will round back out after a few miles. Will get them if the car sits about a week at a time, butthe flat spots always go away.

from my experience avoid the dunlop unless you can afford to replace every few weeks they wear really quickly

Just put a full set of Pirelli Cinturato's on the car. Replaced a set of Pirelli P Zero's (original spec) that were 10 years old. Difference was amazing! I now have round tires where I had square ones!

RandyB,
It snowed last year in Vero Beach?

I like the Continentals as well, but prefer the ExtremeContact DW. These are summer tires, but in my experience summer tires will always out perform all season tires in the summer, just as winter tires will always outperform all seasons in the winter.
All season tires are a compromise and as such will never match the performance of tires in the conditions they were designed for.

Just put a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires on my '03 XK8 this week. TireRack.com has a close-out price on their remaining stock right now, as these are being replaced by the DWS06. For 17" wheels, they are $140 each. For 18" wheels, $144 for the fronts and $164 for the rear tires.

Check out the Yokohama YK580 available only at Discount Tire. Had them on my wife's 2006 XK8 (19-inch wheels) since October 2012. Great bang-for-the-buck tire for these XK8s....

Live in Vero, work in Birmingham and my DWS easily can handle the cornering my jag can do, summer or winter.
