2000 XKR ECM replacement
#21
the throttle pedal position sensor was bad on my throttle body. no electrical current thru it. not a replaceable part. if it or the throttle position sensor go out you have to replace the entire throttle body. that really generates profit! i think something happened in the ecm that fried the tpps electrics. the service writer (not very mechanically minded) wouldn't let me talk to the tech that worked on my car (superior british service management). i was a franchised dealer for 23 years so i understand where that comes from but i also understand there are times that causes ill feelings with the customer. i met the tech briefly when i dropped my car off and had a good feeling about his abilities so i was not worried. the repair order stated that they performed "immobilization procedure" which i think just gets the ecm to recognize my car and its electrics. i figured avos and blackx300vdp know what they're talking about.

I do have 2 spare ECMs that are "LNF1410AC" if you want one just send me a message I'll give you a good price. My problem ended up being a bad instrument cluster not an ECM....

spare LNF1410AC ?
[QUOTE=seawind;602837]Now I take what I am told from the Jaguar ***********s with a grain of salt but I was told by two Jag Dealers that the 2nd to last letter must stay the same in my case and in your case that's the A. You need either a LNF1410AG or LNF1410AC they should both be compatible for a XKR there may be more revisions but I've never seen or heard of them.
