2000 XKR facelift Xenon update
Hi,
i would like to upgrade my XKR 2000s to the black Xenon headlamps from the facelift model year 2003.5>.
I read something about it, I just can‘t find it any more. Already have the lights just have trouble with the connection.
Can someone give me the needed information?
Plug conversion how? Where you got the connectors? Cable colors before and after the facelift? Your own experience with the conversion? etc.
Greetings Mike

IIRC, the projectors are the same, the 2003+ headlamps have the black around the projector area, but that's about it. You won't get auto-levelling since your car doesn't have the rear control arm sensor and related module connection.
either just install an aftermarket HID bulb/ballast into your old headlamps, or put the new 03 lamps in, and adjust them individually, which may be difficult w/o the motor control to bring them up level...you may have to 'fix' them like the s-type 'droopy' headlamp fix.

The 2003+ have different connector, but otherwise it will fit. The auto leveling will not work as mentioned by h20boy, but it is easy to set the light right with the manual setting knob, in worst case you can disconnect the level motor in the lights in the best setting and the correct manually, but so far this has not been needed for me. Think that www.designxkr.co.uk has connectors, maybe more?
