2001 Jaguar XK8 cooling hose

Good morning! I have a 2001 Jaguar XK8 and recently the engine overheated and the cooling hose at the rear of the engine failed. I was able to find a new one and had it shipped. Now my mechanic is asking fir the part which connects the hose to the engine. Apparently it did not come in the hose kit which I just bought. Does anyone k ow what my mechanic needs or knows the part serial number? Many thanks! Garry
