My (new to me) 2001 XK8 driver seat control switches are jammed/stuck and I'd like to try to free them up. I don't think the control box has any issues, because the seat moves back and forth in accordance with the memory buttons just fine. However, a light touch of the front (up/down + front/back) switch sends the seat careening all the way back to where I can hardly reach the pedals. I can't get it to go forward at all unless I return to the memory buttons.

Gus has provided fine instructions and photos showing how to clean up the contacts of the switch module after it is removed, but after much searching I still haven't figured out how to remove it from the seat yet, and the last thing I want to do is put a tear in the leather.

I'd like to remove the switch module where I can hold it in my hands and examine the movement of the controls. Can anyone help get me pointed in the right direction, or provide simple instructions on the safe (undamaged leather and such) removal?
