Default 2001 XK8, starting,fuel pressure problemj

purchased this vehicle about 3 months ago. just replaced the primary and secondary tensioners, water pump, thermostat housing, new plugs. everything went fairly smooth, no major issues. car had no issues before we began, no codes, running well. upon completion, cant get the thing to turn over. checked the schrader valve on the fuel rail , showing n o fuel pressure at all. fuses and relays appear to be ok, inertia switch hasnt been tripped. any thoughts on cause and solution regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Not sure if it's the same set-up but have you entertained the idea of an 'immobiliser' issue? Someone might be able to add knowledge to this. On the x300 model the Check engine light stays on until the engine fires up, if it goes out before you crank then it can point to an immobiliser issue. Just wondering if it's the same for the XK8. Hopefully someone with more experience than me might know.

David- just to clarify, you say you can't get it to turn over. Do you mean the starter will not rotate the engine, or it rotates (turns over) but does not start?

I'm getting confused between your car and the one owned by Diywannabe in a adjacent post. Must be your twin brother. I have already suggested the next step there.

Please stop double posting, I'm old and get confused easily.
