Default 2001 xkr cooling fans not coming on?

Just replaced the radiator on my 01 xkr and now I've noticed my fans don't come on before the replacement i can't be sure it worked before the radiator went out now everything is back together now fans dont come on work a/c or heat checked fuses and connections and both look good.would the temp sensor make the fans not come on regardless of a/c or heat let run temp Guage never went high but I've heard it's not a good indicator i let the temp get to 160F and still no fans any suggestions?

The first suggestion is to use capital letters and punctuation so that your message can be read.

The temp sensor advises the ECM of the coolant temp via resistance. The ECM operates the fan relays located at the bottom left of the radiator which turn on the fans.

A quick test of ECM/relays/fans operation is to turn on the AC. Fans should always run with AC on regardless of coolant temperature.

Did you replace the cross over pipe where the sensor is installed? I did recently and the new sensor kept the fans running continuously.

I did not replace the crossover pipe I'm not quite sure where the relay for the fans are. Is it possible to put power to the fans without taking them out? I may just replace the sensor but, any idea if a bad sensor would cause the fans to not come on even with the A/C on?

Thanks for the punctuation!

The relays are low on the left side next to the radiator. Since you changed that my first concern is you moved something affecting the relays.

If the fans do not come on with the AC on it is not the sensor.

Relays connection to ECM or relay to fans connections were most likely disturbed.

Ok I am going to try and find the relays. Do you know are they accessible without the fans out? Is the relay that you describe on the passenger or driver side? The fuses on the differ side engine bay #12 and #14 both have power when I test them with the car on if that means anything.

Does anyone know where the relays are to the fans or have a picture that might help?

So I found the relay near the driver side front near the horn. In unplugged and re plugged it back in. Turned the car on a/c on no fans unplugged tyne temp sensor and put a 100 ohm resistor fans turned right on but car stalls out so does this sound like a bad temp sensor or mabe the relay still?

Been busy with grandchillen and eggs.

I assume that you jumped the fan relay socket with a resistor. Car stalled out? That is strange.

The temp sensor resistance needed to call for fans is about 260 ohms. Jump the sensor connector leads with that and see if the fans come on.

I just got through a temp/fan problem discussed in this link. Lots of technical information related to the sensor.
