Part Number 1X43 10E898 BC and I get an error code when I try to use it. Any idea what the last version is that will work in my 2001 XKR Alpine GPS system?

I just bought a 2001 XKR Silverstone. The Nav dvd is from 1998 and is horribly outdated. Does any know what the latest version is that will work in the car? I heard the 2004 (copyright 2003) is the latest that will work)

 

I just bought a 2009/2010 DVD for my 2007 X-Type. When I was at the parts counter, it sounded like these DVDs may be vehicle specific. Perhaps you didn't get the proper one for yours?

 

The catalog # is a Navteq number. When I looked at the Navteq site, they list maps for the XK model only from 2007. They do have a choice for an unlisted model and suggest you call them.

As I recall, the Alpine Nav system was discontinued by Jaguar and a lot of folks have been looking for maps without success.
