2002 jaguar xk8 dsm programming?
good day gentleman,
we own a small shop here in miami and we are trying to program a new driver seat module. we are using jaguar ids. i cant seem to find the menu to program this module. i spoke with a jaguar tech who stated to install it on the pass. side, program, and swap to the drivers side which should get rid of the "pecus" on the dash. the only module we find to program is the occupant detection module. tried that but to no avail. we are at a loss here and any help or direction would be appreciated.

ids software is funny
they sometimes put new things in and dont put old things back in
what version disc you running? dealers are at 116
sometimes.. when we run into this type of problem.. we play around with the vins.. we guess at a different vin.. and sometimes it works... and the programming selection changes and we are able to program different modules . when we couldnt with the original vin

thanks jag genius.
i tried various vins and you were right. it appears that 03 and up gives you a slew of modules to program including dsm. however when we try to program it we get a serial communcation error when it reads the vin from the ecm. we did some further research and found that 2002 and below uses wds versus 2003 and up which uses ids. we are more then likely have to ship it to the dealer.
