Default 2002 XK8 seat removal issue.

I have a dead drivers seat that I want to remove. I have been watching John's (TTG/youtube) video and was all ready to tackle the job. The pronlem is that John has a 1997 with the older style seat with different wiring. John points to a white connector with two wires that power the fore/aft motor. My 2002 has no such connector. I was hoping to provide power directly to the motor so I can move the frame out of the way of the bolts that hold the seat in. Any help is appreciated.

Just find the electrical guide for YOUR CAR and power the appropriate wire? (the 2001/2002 4.0 are the same)

Gus has ALL the electrical guides on his site.

I solved my problem. Looking at the wiring diagram for 2001 drivers seat, the fore/aft motor had five wires, where the older style had only two. The diagram labeled the primary 2 (as far as I can tell) as White with Blue and White with Red. My fore/aft motor had two pink wires, one with slate and one with red (or orange) that enter one side of the motor. On the other side of the motor, three smaller wires (red, yellow and white) enter. Since John's TTG/youtube video had the same pink/slate and pink/orange as the only power source, I decided I'd try these. Tracing these wires back to a connector attached to the center of the seat bottom (squob?). You need to remove the nuts holding the front of the cushion so you can lift it up for access to the white connector. Once the white connector was disconnected, I used my circuit tester to apply current and ground to the pink wires and voila!
