LOL.

I have near opposite body, Long torso and average legs. We homo sapiens are constructed in so innumerable ways it really is impossible to make universal fitment comparisons

Interesting to hear the results of the OP's test ride, if he comes back.... no word yet.

Even with my eyes closed I can easily differentiate the handling of the X-100 coupe vs. a X-100 convertible. And the same holds true of most, if not all, coupes vs. convertibles of the same model car.. Unless one spends a mountain of cash, a convertible will always have more unwanted flexing than a coupe.

The best way to view any X100 is like a restomodded muscle car: power, modernish reliability, more luxury, but still a bit wet in the handling department. It's like a modern classic car. That doesn't mean it is not fun, and won't be a joy to own or drive; just accept that it's a product of a different era, and was softer and less raw. I LOVE getting my 00 XKR Convertible on a nice backroad that's relatively straight or sweeping and the top down; it's an extremely relaxing experience. Some of my fondest driving a car memories PERIOD are relatively relaxed midnight drives on a hot summer night in the X100 with the top down.

I've had my 2001 XKR for less than 6 months, and have driven it about 1800 miles so far. I'm 5'11 and 245 lbs, and I'm quite comfortable in the car. No question, there is significent body flex. It's at its best as a cruiser/GT car, but that doesn't mean you can't thrash it. Mine has Bridgestone Pole Position tires on 18" wheels, and I would say that the grip is up there with my father's 911 Carrera. The steering is a bit dead feeling, but very precise. It actually responds well to driving like a hooligan, but it also seems to be telling you to relax and act like an adult.

You did not specify coupe or convertible.

If you get a convertible, headroom is not an issue.
However, you WILL have to change the hydraulic hoses used to raise and lower the top.

I replaced all hoses and rams in my 2000 XKR in 2 days, if I can, anyone can.

Good Luck.

I'm 6' -6'1"... 245-260 (depending...) I drove mine for sometime as my daily, I LOVE my '02 Coupe, very comfortable! I do dive with the seat all the way down and tilted back a little (not allot), I'm 55 and have owned and driven LOTS of cars and the XKR is definitely one of the top ones... the XKR with the CATS suspension is pretty solid without the harshness of other suspensions, and the Coupe is much more solid than the Cab.
