Im changing the transmission fluid in my 02 xkr and Im trying to find the transmission fluid fill location. I saw Rev Sam's video but his xkr is a 98 and it has a different pan and setup. my pan has only 6 torques head bolts. I see the drain plug on the pan and ran my hand along the sides and shined the light up there, but I cant see a plug on either side of the trans. Id like to know where everything is before i get started. Car is up on jack stands, level and waiting. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Slow down...you are headed down the wrong path.

Rev Sam had a 2003 XK8, which had a 6 speed ZF transmission.

The transmission on your 2002 XKR is the Mercedes 5-speed which is entirely different.

You fill through the dipstick tube. You need to remove the red locking tab on the dipstick tube an replace it with a new one when you are done. You will also need to buy a Mercedes dipstick tool.
