Hi my 2003 Jaguar Xkr Convertable has started to have a constant rapid clicking noise like a gieger counter both with the engine on and off the noise is coming from the area front right drivers side just behind where the front headlight sits The noise is from that area of the engine does any one know what may be causing this noise it just started four days ago and has not stopped my video with the noise is to big to upload

 

Does the noise stop when you remove the ignition key? I had a similar problem with a Ford and I found that it was the levelling motor for the headlamp which had gone into permanent hunting mode. Try pressing the headlight and see if that alters the noise.

Taking the key out of my 2003 jag makes no difference to the rapid clicking sound

 

As has already been suggested to you, have you checked the security sounder which is located behind the wheel liner?

 

In that case dibbit's suggestion is likely to be the right one.
