Talking 2003 XKR won't start, exciter ring

Hello,

I posted a problem a few month's ago concerning a problem with my 2003 XKR but I can't find it so I thought I would post the solution for everyone else who might have this problem.
Problem Description: after drive ring the car with the top down the top would not go up. I turned off the engine and the car would not start. A few hours later everything worked fine. Driving a few days later and notice the turn signals weren't working. Turned off the car and the car would not start. Removed the key from the ignition and then tried to restart the car and it started.

Solution: replaced the exciter ring / key transponder coil. About $35
Note; there are 2 screws that hold the bottom part of the steering shell column cover and 3 that hold the top part of the steering wheel cover.

Searched my JTIS for the excter ring and only find one reference on where it disconnects from the wiring harness. What is the procedure for replacing the ring? Thanks.

I don't see anything about the exciter ring posted there.
