2003MY - 2004MY changes
The 2003MY update was obviously the big one, with the new 4.2 engine, gearbox etc. The technical service documents that are widely available detail all these changes.
However, does anyone know what changed between 2003MY and 2004MY? Based on UK years, the 53 reg (so the early 2004MY cars) lose the horizontal door trim on the outside, leaving a much cleaner body look IMHO. It then seems to be the 2005MY where they introduced the new body trim and nose cone to lower the look of the car.
So does anyone know if anything else changed between the 2003MY and 2004MY cars, or can reference any documents that provide any detail?
Thanks!

The CATS suspension, uprated springs, cross-drilled Brembos and re-tuned steering was introduced with the intoduction of the 2000-2001 Limited Edition Silvertone. Making the options available later on in the model year. I don't know about the red calipers.
When did the sport-tuned CATS adaptive damping with revised settings and uprated springs, the cross-drilled and vented Brembo disc brakes (355mm front and 330mm rear) with the red callipers plus re-tuned steering all get introduced?

At first the red calipers were paired with the larger diameter Brembo's denoting the higher performance package over the 'standard' diameter Brembo disc paired with the silver caliper.
Either this soon got lost or a lot of owners had their calipers refinished in red because there's many cars around with the smaller diameter Brembo and red caliper.
Cross drilled and plain disc fitting appears to be equally abitrary.
