Replacing the mounts and it seems my new family friend came without the mount caps. Any suggestions? I am not even sure I am identifying the part correctly

Check out the market place for sale. Several members parting out cars likely have a set.

not cheap but another listing for one side only is asking twice as much.

 

I could be wrong, but I believe the "later" cars came without them. Only the caps on the 3 nuts. Must have been some form of minor cost saving for the later years, as maybe the car is attracting less attention from journalists, etc.

Earlier cars also came with a plastic cover over the ABS module apparently (there was a post recently), cover to be removed later on. My '03 has neither. Adding them back on would be a retrofit I suppose. Then again, with this car being available for sale for over a span of over 10 years, I am sure Jaguar came on both sides of these small details over time, depending on availability at the time of manufacture, and possibly destination market.
