2004 XKR convertible won't start-handbook needed
hi there,
I read a few other posts about jump starting a xkr and honestly I got confused--is my battery in the trunk? When I jump start it, the other running car should be turned off but I can try to turn over my XKR after about 5 minutes of jump starter cable connection? Also, does anyone have an updated link to download the 2004 handbook that comes with the car? Mine got stolen which is why I was trying to figure out the proper way to jump start it as I am petrified of juicing the sensitive electronics given all the other posts I've read.
thanks in advance for any suggestions or link forwards.

The battery is in the trunk. Here is the jumpstart procedure, courtesy of Norri the Moderator. Be sure to carefully read the "Cautions".

All the XK8/XKR handbooks (Vehicle Document Sets) from 1996 to 2006 are available for download from here:

The correct one for your 2004 XKR is JJM 18 02 14_601. In the Roadside Emergency section you will find the procedure for jump starting.

To locate the battery, first remove the floor panel covering the spare wheel (arrowed in red):

Next remove the RH side trim panel (arrowed in green) to reveal the battery.
