2004 XKR drivers seat will not recline / switchpack issue??
Hi there. Newbie here with a UK 2004 XKR, but I have an issue with the drivers seat. The seat back is fully tilted up and will not recline by using the seat switch pack. The other driver seat controls seem intermittent also. There was some water spilt on the seat itself, and maybe this has seeped through to the switchpack or the motors? My question is.. Is the seat switchpack easily removed with seat in situ, so I can put a multimeter across the switches to check them, or even clean them with WD40. If I have to remove the seat itself to check all, any tips? Advice would be very welcomed. I can see an expensive dealer bill coming on otherwise.

BE CAREFUL TAKING IT OUT AS IF YTOU BREAKL THE CLIPS, YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE CUSHION. BUT IF YOU WANT TO VERIFY SWITCH OPERATION TAKE THE PASS SEAT SWITCH AND PLUG INTO DRIVERS CONNECTOR, IT RUNS IT DIFFERENTLY BUT IF IT WORKS THE RECLINE YOU KNOW THE SWITCH IS BAD, DO YOU HEAR THE MOTOR CLICK WHEN TRYING IT AT ALL? IF IT DOES THE SWITCH IS GOOD ALSO

RE: 2004 XKR drivers seat will not recline / switchpack issue??
Hi there Brutal from across the pond. Thanks for your message. When I use the seat recline switch, the headrest up down action works ok, but when pressing it to recline or incline the seat back I don't hear a relay click. If I push the front switch, to move the seat forward, I hear a relay click but nothing until I press the switch a bit harder then it moves. But.. the front switch to move seat forward / back, the up/down control for the cushion only works in one direction, i.e up, so to move it back I have to press one of the memory buttons to return the cushion to the down position. I'm not sure if I re-stored the settings with the seat in the fully inclined position as I was trying most things.
Trying the passenger seat switch connected to the drivers seat sounds a good idea, I just wanted to confirm how to get it out without removing the seat totally, as I have tried pulling it a bit, and don't want to go mad and snap anything!
Your advise welcome Sir.
