Let me define LATER so you can avoid a very short membership.

1. NO advertising in the Model forums - ALL advertising in MARKETPLACE
2. members can only use MARKETPLACE after the qualifying period of membership and minimum number of posts

The reason for (1) is threads stay in the MODEL forums forever but advertisements soon become out-of-date as items are bought and sold. In MARKETPLACE, members can CLOSE a thread when it is no longer required.

The reason for (2) is to discourage anyone from signing up simply to sell their vehicle. We are not an alternative to Craigslist or ebay and this has proved a very effective deterrent.
