Default 2005 exhaust entering cabin

I find that if I'm pushing higher than @ 90mph the exhaust starts to enter the cabin. I've quickly looked at the 'boot' seal and anything else that might seem obvious but haven't found any openings that might be allowing these fumes to enter the car.
Any thoughts on handling this issue other than slowing down?

I would be looking at where the cats bolt onto the exhaust header. I found one of mine leaking, replaced the gasket and all is good.

Whenever I've had to split the exhaust system at the manifold to cat joint, I always use new manifold studs and nuts.

The studs seem to corrode badly and it's difficult to tighten the joint evenly re-using the old ones.

This may not be an issue in warmer and drier climates than here in the UK .......

Is it exhaust smell entering or the smell of fuel? If it's fuel smelling, you might want to check the purge valve.

it's exhaust, far more pronounced while accelerating above 90mph as opposed to cruising at 100
more throttle at high speed = more fumes
