Not sure why there's such a price difference between the two. But the one for 18K seems to be a solid car and nicely optioned too. If I didn't already have mine in the garage, I'd be taking the trip to the dealer.

It does seem like it would be worth a look at $18k.

I think what happens is that these cars reach a certain age where they start to need bushings and brakes and other maintenance, the owners get a quote from the dealer for $10k and then run away. The DIY buyer can easily knock a zero off of that repair cost and have great car for a smokin deal.

I thought all of the 4.2L cars hard only the single S button on the shifter, but this one seems to have tow. Is the single button a function of whether they have the adaptive cruise control?

Boy, that coupe is gorgeous. It's dangerous to follow this forum, it can be hazardous to your wallet.

Tberg,
It's only dangerous, if you act on temptation
I'm feeling very tempted myself. I think someone is going to make some $$$ by flipping this car.

My XK8 4.2 had 2 buttons - ACC on the left and S on the right.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: PRICES REFLECT A TRADE-IN PRICE OF $2,500 OR EQUIVALENT DOWN PAYMENT ON SELECT CARS.

There's always fine print. Maybe a cash offer will bring them back closer to 18K.

There must be a huge catch, this is well below even private party Blue book and the xkr coupes when I was looking were selling ridiculously fast. Perhaps there is accident damage or something they're not letting on about? It's definitely worth looking at if your local.
