Default 2006 XK8 license plate

Does anybody have a recommendation for a front license plate holder/bracket? I do not know if Jaguar makes one designed specifically for the car. I think I would rather it not cover the grill, but may not have a choice. Thank you.

Jag did make one. It was left in the trunk for the dealers to install, but they were seldom put on. It requires drilling into the bumper.

Search the forum. There are several folks who have installed an electronic plate holder that swivels under the bumper for looks, and swivels up for the law.

I have mine in place with zip ties thru the bumperettes. Didn't want to drill and I may take it off eventually. It's only on because I got ticketed for it.

I had a license mount piece that was a Jaguar item but I used plastic ties to attach--see my old post:

#3 for the zip tie route. One black tie in each hole. Holds well and doesn't look half-bad. Better than a frame on the front, I think. (That's my rear plate in the pic.) I drove for a couple of years without a front plate until my daughter got stopped in her car for no front plate. I figured it was only a matter of tim before I got pulled over.

I used white zip ties to match the plate body. You can't see it until you are right on top of it and even then you have to be looking for it.
