Hi All,

I'm looking to upgrade my 2000 XK8 with the Alpine Premium radio and 6 CD changer. I'm really interested in AM\FM, Bluetooth, hands free phone, Steering wheel control, and if possible using the factory amp. Apple Car Play would be nice too.
Any ideas?

Forget the original amp. It uses AI net that makes thing complicated, and are not that good either.

Looks like they are out of stock.
In my case I went for a single DIN Alpine radio and an Alpine 8 channel DSP/Amp, expensive but very good :-)

It's a simple addition and gives most of what you're after, as long as your happy with the audio quality you're getting at the moment!

they work very well with the same audio quality as the system it’s hooked up to. Several satisfied users in this forum sold me on it

I have the “no phone” version, so I’m no help to you there. But I do know they go out of stock all the time and go “back in stock” just as frequently. It pays to check with them often.

(they must sell a load of these adaptors)

 

i recently installed the hands free version and the handsfree portion doesn’t work so well. I plan to reposition the mic and possibly work on wire routing, but currently the handsfree portion is useless. The Bluetooth audio portion works well. As far as the hands free, I can barely h/ear the other caller and it is even worse for them. It seemed to work ok when I was testing before installing. Perhaps it is an interference issue when driving.
