A friend of mine just bought a low-mileage 1997 XK8 and it has the standard Harmon Kardon radio with cassette - see image. He is trying to find out if he can swap it out for a radio with a CD slot in the dash (not a changer in the trunk). Was there an OEM radio with CD, either from that year or later, or will he have to swap it out for a modern radio and deal with the faceplate/adapter issues?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
