Hello, I have a 1997 XK8 which was imported into the Middle East from Japan. The bandwidth which is currently set on the radio, doesnt match the bandwith of the country I am living in and therefore I can't listen to the radio.....

So is it possible to change the bandwidth or will I need to replace the radio?

The Parts Manual shows two specifications of radio for the 1997 XK8:

1. Japan
2. everywhere except Japan

Most owners are looking for solutions to update the radio/cassette installation for something more modern. If you're happy with the OE Jaguar system, a used radio/cassette is likely to be a considerably lower cost solution than having the Japan one modified.

If this is the case, I just replaced the radio in my 2002 XKR and you can have my old radio; just pay the postage. However, as live in the US, the postage may be a little high (not sure). Regardless, it's yours if you want it, just pm me your address.

I will have a look in the market for something suitable to replace the factory unit with. Issue will be getting something that fits.
