Default 3D Print Seat Release Airbag Badge

Part GJE4758AA is now NLA. I bought the last one from what we were able to discern.

However, I did CAD it using TinkerCad and printed a prototype. It fits, not perfect, but works. I had the "AIRBAG" text but it never printed correctly, so I just went with a plain front.

The design is attached and below and free to use. I'd probably print in ABS or Nylon.

If you enhance the design, all I ask is you provide me a copy so I can update.

The picture below will show the OEM (painted Phantom White with SEM Color Touch-- a decent NED option) and then the 3D print in purple. You can see why I removed the lettering. Perhaps if I made it deeper and used a commercial printer it would have been better (?). Also note that OEM one has a broken top tab. That 3D print was just a prototype made of IPE (so not the best material) and done on a consumer grade printer.

Cool! So maybe 3D printing can help us keep these old machines on the road after all!

Some pics. These are just prototype quality but wanted to show the fit.

Here is one of my old and broken Escutcheons. Using the Seat Washer posted by another user, I can fix the cracked back. Then, we have the cover I designed.

If you are doing this make sure you use the right material for temperature ratings, like ABS, PETG, etc...
