Anyone know how to reattach the 3rd brake light fixture ? Recently purchased my coupe and just noticed the fixture was just laying on the rear deck. Nothing seems broken or missing - both grey "tabs" still attached to rear window and both metal clips still in fixture though only one has plastic that surrounds the metal clip. I've tried to reattach but can't get either metal clip to catch on its plastic tab. Is there a certain way to hold your tongue when doing this ?

 

I had weak clips, they would hold for a few days then it would drop down again, so I wound up using 3M two sided tape around the top edge of the tray and pressed it into position. The tape can't be seen from outside because of the black markings on the window. Then I rolled about a half inch by four inch piece of vacuum line under the tray (until it snugged into a knotch there) for extra support underneath. Did that about five months ago and it's been solid as a rock.

I realize that probably wasn't the answer you had in mind.
