In my 1998 Jaguar XK8 Coupe the 3rd brake light is out. I get a error message on omy dash each time I press the brakes or sometimes when I use the left turn signal. Where do I get a replacement? THe unit looks like one piece with LED lights. Nit sure if it is original because ot has a custom surround around the 3rd brake light on the rear dash.

How do I replace and where can I find one used or as a resonable price?

That is really odd that the whole light would burn out all at once. They're LEDs so should last longer than your car will. i am going to guess the wiring or harness is to blame before I would start looking at a replacement 3'rd eye. Just me thinking out loud....

 

I agree h20. A friend has one that has a couple of the LEDs out, but it still functions with the other ones.

 

Did you check Fuse #8 (5A)... In the trunk?

Good point FJK, that may be the culprit. I wasn't aware that the 3rd eye was fused separately.
