4.0 vs 4.2 visual differences?
Considering jumping back into the XKR game, after a lot of thought it looks like one of the few cars that fits my needs and I far perfer the pre-2006 shape to the current ones. Problem is I've since moved to Taiwan where importing is impossible and there's very few examples rolling around.
I'm looking at a 2002 model (the newest of the shape on the market at the moment), which being on the cusp of the 4.0 to 4.2L changeover I'd like to know if there's some quick way of telling the size of the engine by just looking at it? I'm going to hazard a guess the seller probably won't know as they're generally a bit clueless about these cars here.

Jag told me, its an improved design, id go for it.
I have a 1998 XK8 and its fast enough,did a cold air intake and 2.5" custom exhausts.
I'm at around 315 HP, just need to change the rear gears to a 3:73.
XKR would get me in trouble 4.0 or 4.2., they have a 5.0 as well N/A and supercharged!
