It was checked less than a year ago, and it was full. Car has not been driven much but switched mechanics and he told me there was seepage around the trans, but I have never noticed a drip. I'm not too worried.

Get one? Do you mean a dip stick? If it truly has a dip stick pull it out after the trans is fully up to temperature. Car running in park, parking brake on! Wipe it off with a lint free cloth, reinsert and pull it out. Should ideally be between the full and add marks. Trans fluid expands as it gets warmer.

You are probably seeping some fluid from the o-ring on the transmission electrical plug, it's on the front passenger side up behind the cat converter. IT's easy enough to replace and is one of the 3 known common problems with the 722.6. The part was upgraded at some point from the original. Parts for it are cheap also, do a google search on 722.6 and you'll find plenty of information.
