Default 6 way power seats

Ihave a 2004 xk8 and the passenger seat back will not traverse forward or backward. The motor runs but I suspect the gears may be stripped. The other 2 controls work fine. I'm wondering if I have to replace the whole module? Its a $1,100 repair for a new one.

My seat control module was replaced over the weekend. I had no power to anything but lumbar support. Turns out that the module had gotten wet (probably from an overzealous carpet cleaner) and had actually gotten mildew growing on it! Ouch!

If the other motors work though, it may be your switch rather than the module itself...could be a bad connector between the two, or a bad contact in the switch. Those are easy to fix.

Default Seat back not working

I replaced my 1999 XK8 seat covers with all new leather. The seats worked fine, but now I recently found the passenger back not operating, but when I try to adjust, I here the motor run but nothing happens. Any feedback would be great!
