I've had an early XK8 for just over 5 years. I'd been periodically getting the stability control/traction control fail, ABS warning light issue. Cleaning the sensors usually helped and the ECU has gone away to be repaired once but it finally started dying completely - no speedo, ABS warning, stability control/traction control fail plus brake warning light and no speed/distance measured on the trip computer. Also the speed sensitive power steering was either on full assist or zero assist... so I had a new ECU put in yesterday.

I was wondering if the behaviour of the ECU changed between part revisions. Power steering seems a little heavier at 50km/h and I can go around the sharp right hand corner at the bottom of the hill up to my house a lot faster before the ASC kicks in.
