Default 97 Coil pack connector

I was helping a friend replace his tensioners and one of the 2 pin coil pack connectors suffered an internal breakage. I tried to super glue the parts together but they crumbled. There was an effort a couple of years ago to source them, but I think it was unsuccessful. Can anyone update on this problem?

They do go brital and break up over time, I have a spare loom which I chop plugs off as necessary, try contacting a breaker and see if he can do the same?

This company used to stock them. Yazaki connector 7283-8226-30 The site says currently unavailable. It might be worth a call to find out if they plan to offer them again.

That's not the same one. Ours has the red rubber gasket seen through 2 slots.

Not on the coil pack connectors but I have repaired broken connectors with JB Weld. Sometimes you can form it back to look a lot like the original, sometimes it is just there to hold the contacts in place.

The alternative in this particular case is to replace the harness . . . not an attractive project.

A little creativity goes a long way. I restored a hundred year old light switch with a soda straw as a form and JB Weld as the replacement part. Dremel touch up and and a little paint and the manufacturer would not have known the difference.

I will probably cobble some up with JB weld if I need to. Right now the car is running fine, except for the overheating covered by another thread. I'm going out now to pull the thermostat.
