Todays job was replace the rear speakers. Standard sound system
Easy enough, 3 screws and they are out.
Remove the rear seat and panels to find that there is no box to enclose the speakers, in fact just a void of reasonable size with the flexible light metal speaker mount fitted.
The pic shows the mount and the standard Jag speaker which was attached with 3 self tapping screws.
Is this all we got with the standard sound system? Surely not.
I notice the premium system has speaker boxes, are these for Coupe models only, or have mine been removed by a PO? R R Speaker mount components minus the Grill.
Premium sound convertibles have enclosures for the subwoofers. I believe the non-premium ones don’t have subwoofer enclosures because they don’t have subwoofers.
