My friends 97 XK8 Conv has developed a strange problem. The headlights work normally but he says when he uses his turn signals the lights go out...the High beams will work when he pulls back on the stalk but otherwise no lights. Any ideas???

(He didn't say if jjust the headlights went out or ALL the lighting went out i.e. markers, tail lights etc)

does the high beams ALSO go out when the turn signals are used?

I remember reading in the XJ section where a guys radio would turn off while using his head lights or high beams, don't think he found his cause though.

That is strange.
