Default 97 XK Convertible Top Slow

My XK8 had been in the paint shop a while (6 months) and when I finally got it back I noticed that the top kinda is sticky when I lower the top. I sometimes have to help it open by pushing the top up and then it lowers real slow. I already changed out the convertible top oil on it but was wondering if there is anything else I need to look at or lubricate? I read somewhere here on the forums a shop somewhere in the northeast offers a fix for this kind of thing. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance..

All these are in the sticky section somewhere.

I am a fan of motrocarman and the TSB's but before going to a complete drain, since you have already been in there check and make sure the manual tap is properly closed. I would open it a couple of turns and then close it tightly and try the top again. If you have bumped it it might be loose and bypassing pressure.

Before you begin pulling things apart spray the lift ram shafts with WD40 and work it around the shaft with your hands. As for the latch it would be best to lubricate it as well. This link should help.
