Default 97 XK8 convertible fog lights

Bulbs were bad in the foglights. Bought new bulbs and installed them. Worked for just a few minutes and now will not come on at all. Checked for power with a test light and have none. Fuse in the boot is good. Any ideas?

Next check the R2 relay:

Plenty of identical brown ones on the vehicle to use as a temporary substitute for checking.

I am stumped. The fuse is good, and the relay swap didn't help. I have not done anything in the boot to disturb the wiring. Lights worked for a short time and quit. Car was not moving but was just running in the garage. Checked at the bulb with a test light and there is no power. The light on the dash that shows when they are on is getting power. Any ideas?

Not sure of this helps, and I have looked at the 1997 UK spec wiring diagram but .................. there's a relay and a fuse in the ** Engine Compartment ** fuse box ( #17).
The warning light gets power from the feed to the relay coil, but the lights are separately fused.
I can scan the relevant page for you if that helps, but check that fuse first.
Cheers,
David.

Thanks fellas. It was the fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel.
